Backend Engineer

As Aeris continues to grow, we are looking for a Backend Engineer. That’s where you come in! We are looking for motivated individuals who are ready to lead custom web development throughout the entire project lifecycle. You will experience the freedom of building new web applications and also maintain current web applications, using your own programming skills. The successful candidate needs to be motivated and takes initiative in both creating and maintaining a user-friendly system, and also find solutions to a varying number of challenges.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with Development Team, Team Leaders
• Communicate with efficiency and accuracy any progress or delays
• Develop innovative web applications and tools for better efficiency
• Develop web applications and code structures to solve specific tasks
• Assist and support in the upkeep and maintenance of Web Applications
• Propose software programs that are compatible to the future technologies
• Fix, troubleshoot and solve bugs and issues
• Plan and deliver software applications / platforms used across the business

What we look for in you:

• 1-2 or more years of software development experience
• Be a hands-on developer and work on independent modules as a primary job responsibility. 
• Proficient in Java (Spring Boot), server side Node.js or a similar language
• Comfortable in SQL and relational databases
• Exposure in working with scripting languages
• Knowledgeable working with Linux based systems
• Understanding of Web services, REST, SOAP is desirable
• Strong desire to work in fast-paced environment
• Interest and ability to work in different time zones and routinely participate in technical meetings outside of business hours.
• Take initiative to own a problem and drive it to conclusion
• Interest to learn new technologies
