Level 2 Network Team Leader

As a Level 2 DCS Team Leader you will be leading the Level 2 Network team which is doing responsible for troubleshooting issues, configuration changes, as well as controlling access to the network on IP, Packet Core, Cellular Core, and Value-Added Services areas.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the L2 Network team;
  • Set the tone for the team and create a positive and productive work environment.
  • Motivate and inspire team members, fostering a sense of collaboration and accountability.
  • Identify and leverage team members’ strengths and suggest scope for improvement.
  • Set clear objectives, define roles and responsibilities and ensure each team member aligns with the team’s vision.
  • Communicate expectations, goals and feedback to the group regularly and resolve any concerns or issues actively.
  • Identify and address conflicts early, facilitating discussions and finding satisfactory solutions for all parties involved.
  • Recognise and reward good performance, provide feedback and encourage professional development.
  • Support team members’ professional development by providing opportunities for training and growth.
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support and guide team members to ensure they meet their individual targets and KPIs.
  • Generate reports on team performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Troubleshooting and support on at least one of the areas IP, PS, CS, VAS
  • Give technical support to sales, marketing, project managers, and the customer, including pre-sales activities that can control and supervise the core network implementation;   
  • Drive automation initiatives that increase efficiency for the team and reduces customer friction;
  • Create, review and update processes and procedures to implement new configuration or fix common issues
  • Actively participate and contribute to the problem management process when necessary;
  • Coordinate, support and execute proactive and reactive maintenance activities to ensure that high quality services within agreed SLAs.
  • Create and deliver reports and dashboards of KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience.
  • Good knowledge of mobile telecom networks and signaling
  • Experience on the Ericsson products like HLR, HSS, vEPG, SAPC, Routers is a plus
  • Availability to work on-call
  • Good knowledge of Linux and SQL databases is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of IP communication is a plus
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Knowledge of scripting (Python, BASH) is a plus.
  • Ability to react quickly, also very good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Perseverance, interest in documenting and problem solving, practical spirit, advising, helping and developing others, tact, understanding, ambition, self-confidence.
  • Analytical technical thinking.
