As Aeris continues to grow, we are looking for a full stack Software Developer. That's where you come in! You will be working with our Software Architect Working Group & Labs team getting numerous opportunities to work on the latest and upcoming technology stacks, and deploying to public (GCP) and private cloud environments. This is an opportunity to advance your career, be involved in selecting the Aeris technology stacks, and implementing fast-paced proof of concepts that will eventually make significant contributions to the organization. As an additional responsibility, you may be asked to support existing product teams for critical pieces of their deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with the Aeris Labs team to explore new technologies and discover new products via proof of concepts
• Work with the Software Architecture Working Group (SAWG) on cross-product technology and architecture problems
• Evaluate new technology stacks and architecture patterns via performance tests
• Create technical documents including design documents, architecture documents, and performance test reports
• Present your work to the wider engineering team at Aeris

What we look for in you:

• 5+ years of development experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline/experience.
• Proficiency in at least 2 modern programming languages (Java, Javascript, Python, Go, Rust etc)
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Excellent team player, creative, self-motivated, positive attitude with ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficiency with Agile development environment and tools, e.g. confluence, Jira and Jenkins, etc.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with cloud native and container native architecture and technology stack (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience in data analytics domain 
• Experience in embedded development
• Previous experience working with geographically distributed teams
