Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Talent Acquisition Leader to join our Chicago-based team. This player-coach role will manage day-to-day operations of the recruiting team, shape and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy, and partner closely with senior leadership to fill critical roles. You’ll champion our employer brand, leverage cutting-edge tools and data, and build scalable processes that align with Aeris’ growth and innovation goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the day-to-day manager of the recruiting team (3 Recruiters), providing leadership, coaching, and performance management
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Partner closely with HR, hiring managers, and business leaders to forecast talent needs and proactively build talent pipelines
  • Lead the creation and ongoing optimization of an internal careers site and craft/refine the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to strengthen our employer brand
  • Conduct bi-weekly meetings with Executive Leaders to stay aligned on hiring priorities and talent pipeline needs
  • Provide weekly talent acquisition metrics and dashboards to track progress against hiring goals and identify trends
  • Leverage AI-driven tools and platforms to optimize sourcing, screening, and candidate engagement strategies, ensuring a data-informed and scalable recruitment process
  • Own and manage relationships with external vendor partners, executive search, and staffing firms to ensure alignment with company hiring needs
  • Identify and recommend key industry conferences and events to build brand visibility and attract top talent

Minimum Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading a recruiting or talent acquisition team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of employer branding strategies and experience with tools like LinkedIn and Glassdoor
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with senior executives and cross-functional teams
  • Experience using data and AI tools to inform hiring strategies and optimize recruitment processes

Preferred Requirements:
  • Prior experience recruiting in IoT, technology, or high-growth industries
  • Familiarity with talent acquisition systems and process improvement initiatives
  • Exposure to global recruiting strategies and building international talent pipelines

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may also be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The salary range for this role is $185,000 to $200,000. Aeris also offers a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
