As Aeris continues to expand, we are growing our Network Operations team. As Sr/Engineer - IP Network, you will deliver design, implementation and management of IP network/SDN, IP network integration with public/hybrid cloud infrastructure, IP network design and operations for global cloud/data centers.  You will be work with other expert network architects and engineers to optimize and evolve the IP network infrastructure, perform network maintenance and optimization, define and implement network security best-practices, develop automation tools, and manage external network connectivity. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy and manage IP network equipment and connectivity between DC and cloud network services
• SAN, servers/VMs and network management tools in global private data centers
• Perform network maintenance and upgrade of and network equipment hardware and software
• Perform network diagnosis, optimization, capacity planning and circuit management
• Execute NCR (Network Change Requests) through the approval process
• Troubleshoot customer complaints for network connectivity and performance, and provide resolution.
• Build and support Route based VPN, Policy based VPN and Software VPN clients
• Analyze customer traffic through Cisco capture commands and through Netscout tool.
• Schedule maintenance windows with analysis of customer impact, downtime, and MOP including rollback procedure.
• Perform regular failover testing of DC and geo redundant network components.
• Conduct network security audits and redundancy testing on a regular basis
• Develop automation scripts/tools for network operation tasks and support simulated network test environment
• Meet customer KPI expectations in network services
• Produce weekly reports with the status updates, dependency and escalations.

What we look for in you:

• You have a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of professional experience in service provider networks or a large enterprise network environment and have CCNA certification or higher
• You have hands-on experience working on multi-site data center connectivity for HA applications
• You possess in-depth knowledge and experience in networking protocols and architecture and have expertise in IP routing and switching such as:
  • VLAN, STP and other layer 2 technologies, as well as, BGP, OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols, MPLS VPN and firewall policy
• You have hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus routers, ASA firewalls, ISR routers, and public cloud infrastructure
• You have experience using platform and monitoring tools such as TACACS, SolarWinds, Big Brother and Zabbix
• You are a self-starter, organized, attentive to details and excellent in verbal and written communication
• You enjoy problem-solving, applying critical thinking and working in high-pressure situations
• You enjoy working in a collaborative environment - leading/working with our global team

Things that will set you apart:

• You have experience or knowledge of CDMA, GSM, UMTS or LTE core network
• You have experience in network automation, NFV/VM, or EMC SAN, VMware,
• You have hands-on experience with Google Cloud, Azure or AWS
• You are well-versed with using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Bash
